Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the services provided by ROC Web Design (“we,” “us,” or “our”) to our clients (“you”). By engaging us for a project or service, you agree to these Terms. We aim to keep them fair and readable; if anything is unclear, email us at contact@connorswebsites.com before we begin.

1. Services

We provide custom web design and development, and optional add-on services such as managed hosting, ongoing SEO, and business automation tools. The specific deliverables, timeline, and price for your project are defined in the written proposal or estimate we agree on. Anything outside that agreed scope is considered a new request and may require an additional estimate.

2. Payment terms

• Projects are typically billed with a deposit due before work begins and the balance due on completion, or in milestones — as set out in your proposal.
• Invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice. Work may be paused on overdue accounts.
• Recurring services (hosting, SEO, automation) are billed monthly in advance unless otherwise agreed.
• Quoted prices exclude any applicable taxes and third-party fees.

3. Project & deliverable ownership

On full payment for a project, you own the code and content we build for you — the website is yours to keep, move, or modify. We may retain the right to display non-confidential work in our portfolio and reference it in case studies unless you ask us not to. Any third-party software, fonts, libraries, or stock assets remain subject to their own licenses, which we'll identify where relevant.

4. Managed hosting

If you subscribe to our managed-hosting add-on, we host your site on reputable infrastructure and aim for high availability on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, as hosting depends in part on third-party providers and factors outside our control. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or issues caused by those providers, by your own changes, or by events beyond our reasonable control. You may move your site to another host at any time.

5. Automation & software services

Automation tools and similar software services are offered on a setup-plus-monthly basis. The one-time setup fee covers configuration and launch; the monthly fee covers operation, maintenance, and support as described in your proposal. You may cancel a monthly service at any time with notice as stated in your agreement; cancellation stops future monthly billing but does not refund fees already paid for the current period or the initial setup. On cancellation we'll provide a reasonable handoff of any data or configuration that belongs to you.

6. Client responsibilities

You agree to provide the content, access, and timely feedback we need to do the work, and you confirm that any materials you give us (text, images, logos) are yours to use or properly licensed. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you supply.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ROC Web Design is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Our services are provided “as is” without warranties beyond those expressly stated in your proposal.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in New York.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. The Terms in effect when you engage us govern that engagement.
